Thoughts on the Facebook Time issue

Time Facebook COverYesterday I stopped in a convenience store to pick up the Facebook edition of Time. Now from the teases that were given out of the issue, I figured the story was going to be negative as hell. However after reading it, the story was quite positive.

No matter how many times Facebook changes their privacy policies, I will not delete my account. Facebook has become an institution, check out this awesome graph on Facebook’s Growth (via Time).

Mark Zuckerberg and company are changing the way we think of privacy, but also reinforcing something that we should have learned a long time ago Don’t be a dumb ass. By that I mean if you are doing something dumb, don’t share it with the world. Google made everything available in a search, Facebook is making it easier for others to shame you.

Here is a video of my thoughts on the issue and Facebook’s privacy.
