NFL Week 8 Social Media Picks

Man is it me or is the NFL season flying by? It has been awesome to watch this Gronkowskiseason progress as teams are starting to pull away from the pack and establish the lead horses for the playoffs. Notice I am trying to move the conversation away from the Ravens’ debacle on Monday night. If you still want to harp on that, take a look at Rob Gronkowski’s bye week special and get back to me when the drool settles.

If you are done drooling, you probably know that it’s time for this week’s NFL picks utilizing social media buzz metrics (click here to see metric breakdown). Seven weeks into the season, and the formula has me sitting at 54-50 after an 8-5 showing in Week 7. Below are this week’s picks:

  • Arizona 1, Baltimore 15
  • Minnesota 16, Carolina 0
  • Jacksonville 15, Houston 1
  • Miami 16,  New York Giants 0
  • New Orleans 10, St. Louis 6
  • Indianapolis 3, Tennessee 6
  • Washington 22, Buffalo -6
  • Detroit 10, Denver 6
  • New England 6, Pittsburgh 10
  • Cincinnati 6, Seattle 10
  • Cleveland 10, San Francisco 6
  • Dallas 16, Philadelphia 0
  • San Diego 22, Kansas City 0
  • Bye: ATL, CHI, GB, NYJ, OAK, TB

How are you picking the season’s winners? If you’d like to try your luck against the social picks, I invite you to join the ESPN Pick ‘em league where Mike Schaffer is currently leading the pack with a 72-31 mark. Winner takes home a $25 Amazon gift card.

I’m sick of the non-story, but I don’t mind looking at that photo again! Even better, his brother is a Terp!

@MiniTerp you just wish that was you in the jersey. And it did distract the focus from the MNF debacle… Speaking of terps, I do love the new helmets…

@jeffespo Yes, G-Men are inconsistent (and give me weekly panic attacks.) But Miami is consistent at *losing.*
